Jez may be England's premier singer/songwriter, with about a dozen albums to his credit and a performing career stretching back to the 70s. His songs draw heavily on traditional influences: they have strong melodies, singable choruses, humor, vividly drawn characters, and plots. His songs have been recorded by Cherish the Ladies (The Bergen), Cindy Mangsen (Black Diamonds), and Anne Dodson (Durham Gaol), among others.
